A Brief History of Kangaroo Charities:

After completed the higher secondary course, Mr. C. R. Raja who was inspired by the commerce and industry. Cosequently, he started himself as light music orchestra owner and artist doing some charity help to the poor and needy around him. Even though, Mr. Raja commenced the Kangaroo mercy home for rehabilitatio of the visually challenged, supported for marriages,helped some poor youth for pursuing higher studies and free food supply for the street abandoned and homeless, he formally established and registered a public charitable trust by name " KANGAROO CHARITIES " in 2009 along with some like minded friends.
Through a constituted Board of Trustees, it was studied that how and why elderly people were abandoned by their own children and what would an appropriate solution for the creepig aged people in the target area.

In Craford colony of Ponmalai zone, the Kangaroo Home for the abandoned elderly people is situated. In this home, there are 65 elderly people including 27 bedridden are taken care of with nutritious food, medical care cubbled with timely care and periodic health check up, entertainment, security through experienced care takers and coordinator.There is yoga and meditation practice for the needy inmates of the home. It costs Rs. 480/- towards food and maintenance expenses for a day per head.

Kangaroo Home for the Abandoned Elderly People

This home is located at Sathiyamoorthy street, Srirangam, Trichy where 50 elderly persons are accommodated with nutritious food, health care, personal care and yoga and meditation with the helo of 8 experienced care takers and supervisors. Qualified MSW counsellor gives psychiatric counselling to the needy persons. It costs around Rs. 330/- for food and maintenance cost for a day per head.

Kangaroo Home for the Creeping Elderly Persons

This home is located Ariyapuram Agraharam, Sethirapalapuram village of Kuthalam taluk, Mailaduthurai district. There 30 elderly persons are staying with nutritious food, health care, personal care and security. The home inmates are arranged for yoga and meditation facilities through local yoga master. It costs Rs. 365/- for food and other maintenance expensed for a day per head.
